GOLDEN GLOBES BEST DRESSED

Well if you didn't watch the Golden Globes or the red carpet event, you may have at least seen the dresses. There were many different trends. There were short hemlines, trains, ruffles, plunging necklines, asymmetry, vintage silhouettes, sparkles, and lots of color. I loved the risks and all the different colors. It is always fun when fashion isn't necessarily taken seriously and people are willing to try something new. Here are a few of my favorites of the evening.

Olivia Wilde wore a gun metal beaded Gucci gown that was absolutely stunning. The plunge-front dress was daring but paid off.

Drew Barrymore wore this Atelier Versace champagne silk gown with rhinestone beading. I love the way this dress is draped and think that the accent risks were amazing and unique.

Christina Aguilera, like Drew Barrymore also wore a Versace gown. The dress was strapless and peach colored. The material was chiffon and it had a metallic bodice with asymmetric detail. She is not normally what comes to mind when I think of "best dressed," but I believe she got it right with this one.

  1. Very good choices for best dressed. I wasn't too impressed by any of the dresses that I saw on the red carpet. Nothing stood out to me really. I actually hadn't seen any of the one's you chose (because I didn't actually watch any of the show)... Christina Aguilera is looking pretty good nowadays.
